Physician - Cardiac Electrophysiologist
I am a cardiac electrophysiologist. This is a specialty within cardiology that deals with arrhythmias and electrical disturbances of the heart. My daily routines are seeing patients in the outpatient setting, rounding on patients with cardiac problems in the hospital, and performing procedures on patients' hearts. I am an associate professor of medicine at Rutgers Medical School, the program director for the cardiology fellowship, and the medical director of the electrophysiology laboratory at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. I teach residents and fellows as well as lecture to medical students.
