Lead a team of commercial real estate professionals responsible for managing a nearly $4 billion open-end commercial mortgage fund on behalf of institutional investors, which include primarily pension funds and insurance companies. Responsibilities include fundraising of capital, origination of investments, meeting fund return objectives, loan management, liquidity management and investor communications.
Students will be introduced to the world of commercial real estate at one of the largest global investment managers in commercial real estate debt and commercial real estate equity. The introduction will include presentations and interactive discussions with seasoned real estate professionals who are responsible for the research/underwriting processes, fund management and investment committee decisions. The goal will be to walk away with a basic understanding of the commercial real estate business and what the daily worklife looks like at a large commercial real estate institution who manages money on behalf of institutional investors.
