A general dentist blends medicine, surgery, art, and science, diagnosing disease, relieving pain, and restoring function and aesthetics through hands-on procedures like fillings, crowns, root canals, implants, and oral facial surgery. Aside from the clinical side, I have many roles leading a small business by managing staff, overseeing operations, and shaping the patient experience. It’s a dynamic, fast-paced career that combines clinical skill, creativity, problem-solving, and leadership while making an immediate and meaningful impact on patients’ health and confidence.
Students will gain a meaningful, hands-on introduction to dentistry by observing patient care, assisting chairside, and participating in guided clinical simulations. They will experience the day-to-day operations of a small, family-run practice while developing a clear understanding of the skills, responsibilities, and workflow of a dentist. In addition, they will receive practical insight into the educational and professional pathway to a career in healthcare.
