Managing Director, Head of Capital Markets
The capital markets team supports GTCR's portfolio companies by structuring and executing debt/equity financings for both platform acquisitions as well as add-on acquisitions over the life of our investment. In this role we work closely with the deal teams and company executives to develop, negotiate, and execute capital structures that allow our firm to execute against our strategic plan for the investment. The team also works on other capital markets related activates inducing hedging of interest rate and other exposures and equity related transactions (IPOs, Follow Ons and Block trades).
We will discuss the markets, the private industry, GTCR and our investment philosophy as well as walk through some examples of how a leveraged buyout transaction works. I am hoping the session will be interactive and I am happy to discuss careers in finance generally (I worked at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley for 15+ years) and provide any advice I can for students who have interest in the industry.
