Senior Managing Director
Dawn Hall is a Senior Managing Director in the Dispute Advisory Services (“DAS”) practice within the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment at FTI Consulting and is the leader of the Intellectual Property Practice. She is based in New York Dawn Rice Hall is a recognized expert in complex financial, accounting and damages related matters and has been qualified as a damages expert in court. Dawn has over 28 years of experience specializing in financial consulting within the litigation and dispute resolution process. Her work has included disputes across many industries with claims for breach of contract, trade secret misappropriation, patent infringement, trademark infringement, trade dress infringement, false advertising, copyright infringement, royalty compliance audits, among others. She has issued expert reports reflecting professional opinions of these areas and has testified in depositions and at trial on damages related matters. She has assisted companies and counsel with complex analyses, including lost sales, lost profits, apportionment analyses, price erosion, reasonable royalty, unjust enrichment and prejudgment interest for both plaintiffs and defendants. Dawn has been recognized as a leading expert in patent damages in the 2018- 2024 editions of the IAM Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Professionals. Dawn was awarded the 2017 Women Leaders in Consulting Future Service Award by Consulting magazine and the 2019 Top 25 Leading Women Intrapreneurs & Corporate Leaders in New Jersey Monthly Magazine.
Externs will learn about the various matters FTI is known for in the industry such as the Ed Sheeran Copyright Infringement Matter, the Forensic Investigation of Wells Fargo and the Bernie Madoff Ponzi Scheme. Additionally, externs will work with FTI professionals and FTI interns on best practices in resume building (which will be helpful for filling out their brag sheets) and interview skills (which will be helpful in college and intern interviews).
